Dick Bodenhorn, PF630 President, presents a donation to Scott Pontius, Ridgway Fire Chief.
Pheasants Forever volunteers saw how the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Department supported our community this spring. How could you not be impressed? They went above and beyond during the epic flood and still put the carnival grounds back together in time to our small town festival. Impressive!
Our PF volunteers drove our new trailer in the Saturday firemen parade for the first time and stayed a few hours to sell gun raffle tickets. A motion was made at the next meeting to use some of the proceeds as a donation to the Ridgway Firemen Department and say ‘Thank you!’ It was unanimous!
These men and women volunteer countless hours to ensure the safety of our homes, help at car accidents and even show up when a tree falls across the road. They are known far and wide for their French fries and pizza yet all the food equipment on the carnival lot was ruined during the flood. In literally weeks, volunteers worked to repair, rebuild, install new drainage and put a fresh coat of paint on anything that didn’t move. There are few obstacles they can’t overcome.
THANK YOU RIDGWAY VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT! TAKE YOUR DOG FOR A WALK TODAY BUT BE SURE TO BRING ALONG WATER!
